HOUSING

Housing stock is made up of hirings from local landlords and is generally of a high standard. The hirings are normally located in the vicinity of Britannia House/UKSE but this can obviously not be guaranteed as this is dependant on the local housing market. There are a few noticeable differences between UK and Danish houses, the main ones being that the lounges are normally a lot larger and the bedrooms considerably smaller that you may be accustomed to. Many of the houses in Denmark do not have garages but a carport.

 Most houses have a cooker, fridge, dish washer and washing machine as standard, although it’s worth checking with your sponsor for an exact inventory of “white goods”.  You may find it useful to bring your tumble dryer with you if your house does not have one.

Not all landlords allow pets into SFA hirings. Please ensure you inform the UKSE if you intend to bring pets with you.
