Service Education
Within the JPA suite in the UKJSU there are 3 dedicated terminals for education purposes. All personnel and their dependants may use these terminals to complete e-Learning packages such as the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) - Stavanger DELC is an accredited ECDL examination centre. These computers may also be used for personal access (eg banking and emails) to the internet whilst waiting for home connection to be established. This only applies if the computers are not already in use for their primary purpose.
Norwegian Language Survival Course
The UKJSU has the facility to run a Norwegian language survival course to allow smoother integration into the community. This will be made available at intervals throughout the year when there is a large turnover of personnel.
