Javelin Medical Centre Out of Hours
Javelin Barracks Medical Centre is open from 0800-1700 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 0800-1230 and 1530-1700 Wednesday and 0800-1230 Friday. After the medical centre has closed, the phone lines are transferred through to the RSU Medical Centre emergency line. If patients call after 1700, they will automatically be diverted.

Reception and Out of Hours 02163 972600 or Javelin Military 68 2600. By day or night, whether the medical centres are open or closed, the Health Service can be accessed by a single local call.
RSU Medical Centre Out of Hours
The RSU Medical Centre provides first line care for all military and UK based personnel and their dependants based in JHQ.Secondary and tertiary treatment is provided by German hospitals in the nearby towns of Dulken and Viersen.The medical care and treatment in the German hospitals are excellent and the majority of the German medical staff speaks English.
The RSU Medical Centre is open from 0800-2000, (however, there is always a doctor and primary care nurse on call one the medical centre is closed). After 2000 hours, the phone lines switch to TAS (Triage Assessment System). TAS is based in Gutersloh and is manned overnight by primary care nurses. Patients are able to obtain medical advice and if needs be, the primary care nurse can request for a doctor to be called out to the medical centre so the patient can be seen.
In any emergencies, patients should call 112 for an ambulance.

In the Event of a Medical Emergency
If members of the community believe that life is in danger or an accident or illness is serious enough to require accident and emergency treatment then they must at all times contact the local ambulance service using the national emergency telephone number of 112
Where possible, once the ambulance services have been called, a second call should be made to the local medical centre.
